Bethany Project Mission

The mission of the Bethany Project is to partner with Evangelical Church schools in Haiti, to help meet the educational and spiritual needs of the children. The Bethany Project had its start in the 1960's to help relieve the severe malnutrition that was affecting children in school.

Today food is more available, but there is still hunger and education is more expensive. Free, public education is only available to about 20% of children. Needy families cannot afford to send their children to school. Over the years, thousands of young people have been able to receive a Christian education through the Bethany Project, with the help of sponsors, and been given life and hope.

From Pastor Renes

The number of students supported by the Bethany Project has decreased over the past few years to about 300. One quarter of these will finish school within the next two years and leave the Project. Many younger children have great needs. We are seeking to raise support for them through sponsors. New systems are in place to track students more efficiently. If you would like to sponsor a child please let us know.

You are making a difference in the lives of young people! On behalf of the US volunteer staff and those in Haiti, we say thank you for your prayers and your continued financial support of the Bethany Project children and program.
